The Maintenance

Helper supports general facility and equipment maintenance at the Bradford facility, primarily on night shift, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and Department Manager. This role assists with routine maintenance, inspections, preventative work, cleaning, troubleshooting, and repairs to help keep the facility safe, clean, reliable, and operational. Complete facility repairs, upkeep, inspections, and minor maintenance with minimal supervision.

Support equipment troubleshooting, repairs, preventative maintenance, and safe restarts. Assist skilled trades and perform basic mechanical tasks as trained and authorized. Inspect equipment, building systems, and facility areas; Support production maintenance, including changeovers, startups, shutdowns, and breakdowns.

Identify parts, tools, and materials needed; Support seasonal, grounds, and building system tasks as needed. Respond to night-shift maintenance calls based on safety and production priorities. Recommend improvements to reliability, safety, housekeeping, efficiency, and maintenance practices.

1–3 years of related maintenance experience in an industrial, facility, manufacturing, or similar environment. ~ Food manufacturing experience is an asset. ~ Basic mechanical aptitude and safe use of common hand and power tools. ~ Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical equipment and issue identification. ~ Able to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues and elevate when needed. ~ Self-motivated team player able to work independently with minimal supervision. ~ Moderate computer skills, including electronic work‑order/maintenance systems. ~ GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, and food manufacturing requirements are assets. ~ Able to work nights, weekends, overtime, and statutory holidays as required. ~ Comfortable working in a cold, wet, noisy, industrial environment. ~ Physically able to stand, walk, lift, bend, climb stairs/ladders, and work throughout the facility. ~ 25.10 per hour ~ Shift Premium Competitive Wages &
