Preventative Maintenance Lead

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Bayview Wildwood Resort

Established in 1898, Bayview Wildwood Resort is a historic lakeside resort located on beautiful Sparrow Lake in Ontario’s Muskoka region. What began as a family-run destination welcoming guests arriving by steam locomotive for fishing and summer recreation has evolved into one of Ontario’s most recognized resort experiences.

Today, Bayview Wildwood Resort is proudly owned by Sunray Group, one of Canada’s fastest-growing hospitality and development companies and is part of the Ascend Hotel Collection by Choice Hotels International.

Our mission is straightforward: create unforgettable experiences for both our guests and our team members. We believe exceptional hospitality starts with people who care, work collaboratively, and take pride in delivering warm, attentive service every day.

Position Summary The Preventative Maintenance Lead is responsible for leading the resort’s preventative maintenance program with a primary focus on guest accommodations, including cabins, cottages, and guest rooms.

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring accommodations are consistently safe, functional, well-maintained, and presented to a high standard for our guests. The Preventative Maintenance Lead will conduct inspections, identify and address potential issues before they become guest-impacting problems, coordinate maintenance priorities, and provide day-to-day support and direction to maintenance team members.

The role will also support the Maintenance Manager with preventative maintenance, repairs, projects, and general facilities operations across the resort as required.
