You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our human resource branch while coaching and mentoring the members in our community of practice while ensuring exemplary principle-based practice. You will provide expertise to complex accommodation, conflict and performance/labour relation and recruitment files, while providing oversight to a full range of human resource practices and services. Our ideal candidate is a person who demonstrates, practices, and leads from a creative, purposeful approach, is hands-on, enjoys engaging in meaningful conversations,



and truly values others.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be well versed in managing multiple priorities and competing directions while ensuring care and attention to the development of direct reports. This position requires you to have excellent people skills, be confident in your abilities, assess risk and impact at an advanced level and able to work with interruptions and changing priorities. Degree or diploma in Human Resource Management or other relevant discipline with a focus on Human Resources,or significant recent experience in human resources in the public sector; Considerable recent experience leading a range of human resource management services, such as accommodation,recruitment and selection, training and development,and labour relations in a unionized setting; including coaching and developing employees preferably in the practice of human resources.

Developing People: Fosters the learning and development of others through supportive relationships. Transfers expertise and builds the long-term leadership capability of others by teaching, coaching, and/or mentoring them. Takes a comprehensive, long-term view, critically assessing options and implications, while linking decisions to strategic goals.
