We are seeking a compassionate and strategic professional to fulfill the role of Manager, Infant & Early Mental Health .

The Manager, Infant & Early Mental Health will help foster a comprehensive continuum of mental health services for infants, young children, and their families. The role focuses on strengthening family systems, supporting healthy early development, and enhancing family resilience.

The Manager will lead the Maternal and Infant Mental Health (MIMH) and EarlyON teams and will be responsible for the overall planning, direction, and implementation of relationship-focused therapeutic activities for children aged 0–6 and their caregivers within the community.

How You Will Make an Impact ?

Program Management

- Plan, organize, and oversee the delivery of high-quality MIMH and EarlyON programs and services.
- Ensure programs are effectively integrated and aligned with organizational strategic objectives.
- Lead needs assessments, program development, and planning initiatives while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external agencies and community services that support organizational goals.
- Provide individual, group, conjoint, or family psychotherapy, as well as case management and support services.
- Serve as the clinical lead for integrating Infant and Early Mental Health principles across relevant programs and services.
- Observe staff practices and provide training,



consultation, and resources related to child development, program models, best practices, individualization strategies, and applicable accreditation standards.

Staff Leadership & Development
- Lead a multidisciplinary team providing mental health services to young children aged 0–6 and their caregivers.
- Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate MIMH and EarlyON employees, students, and volunteers.
- Support professional development for supervisors and staff through probationary and annual 360-degree performance reviews.
- Coach staff in supporting parents with understanding prenatal development, child growth and development, and parent-child activities that encourage healthy infant attachment.
- Manage staff in accordance with applicable collective agreements and Human Resources policies.
- Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team to review client progress, identify barriers, and develop strategies to better support families in achieving their goals.

Administration
- Manage program enrollment and assess future needs for new program offerings to support program sustainability and organizational objectives.
- Support funding initiatives through grant writing and by developing and maintaining robust relationships with funders and stakeholders.

Community Development
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, organizations, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance program services and community reach.
- Represent the organization at community events, public meetings, and networking tables to advocate for program needs and contribute to community development.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements What You Will Bring ?

- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Psychology.
- Registration and membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) , College of Psychologists of Ontario ,



and/or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) .
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a community-based setting providing child development support to families.
- At least 2 years of direct clinical experience providing therapy services to young children and their families is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supervising a multidisciplinary team , preferably within a unionized environment.
- Familiarity with labour relations, collective agreements, and union protocols.
- Certification in Infant and Early Mental Health or specialized training in infant mental health interventions is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and coach staff in building supportive and trusting relationships with young children and their caregivers.
- Experience in Human Resources management, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
- Knowledge of and experience facilitating groups and therapeutic models such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, trauma-informed approaches, and attachment-based models.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards, such as CCA or similar frameworks.
- Strong critical-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to approach complex situations creatively and effectively.
- Empathy, compassion, and a strong commitment to supporting children and families.
- Experience with financial management, grant writing, and securing funding from various sources.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies, nonprofit organizations, community partners, families, and other stakeholders.
