Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant – Device Clinic, you will support clinical operations by assisting providers and delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring efficient workflows within a specialized clinical setting.

Key responsibilities include

- Assisting providers with patient examination, procedures, and treatment
- Collecting patient histories and preparing patients for visits
- Performing routine lab procedures and preparing specimens for transport to the lab
- Following up on test orders and communicating results to providers and patients
- Maintaining patient education materials




- Managing and updating patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintaining medical equipment and ordering clinical supplies
- Ensuring compliance with OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education

Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Preferred:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or related technical training

Experience

Preferred:
- Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience

Licensure / Certification

Required: Approved Medical Assistant Certification within six (6) months of hire OR proof of active license/certification

Additional Preference

- Candidates who have completed a Medical Assistant externship are encouraged to include location and dates on their application
- Scheduling Experience
