Applicantsare required to have a demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to this care philosophy. Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with theCollege of Nurses of Ontario,
or the ability to become licensed with the College of Nurses of Ontario Recent experience in Mental Health nursing in an acute caresetting 1 ‑ Mental Disorder, the Mental Health Act, and the Health Care Consent Act Ability to use the Nursing Process (assessment, planning,implementation, evaluation) in conjunction with her/his basic and ongoing knowledge to arrive at individualized careplanning and delivery Collaborates and provides consult to Registered PracticeNurse's (RPN) when patients assigned to the RPN become unstable or have outcomes that are not as expected Ability to simultaneously manage multiple nursing interventions Have a certification, or recent continuing education in MentalHealth/Psychiatric Nursing Knowledge of the principles of Psychosocial Rehabilitation or asimilar recovery‑based model of care The Health Sciences Centre strives to ensure the safety andsecurity of the patients, visitors, employees and assets financial and otherwise. and proof of full vaccinations approved by Health Canada to Occupational Health& Safety.
