Breakthrough T1D is searching for an experienced qualified for the role of National Bilingual Fundraising Assistant.
If you are fluent in EN/FR, detail-oriented and a relationship driven fundraising professional who would like to support national fundraising programs, engage and inspire participants across Canada and help deliver exceptional fundraising and supporter experience, please read on to see if this is the right fit for you. Serve as the primary French-language customer service representative for Breakthrough T1D Canada, providing support and responding to inquiries received through the national French phone line, email inbox, website, and other communication channels. Act as the first point of contact for French-speaking constituents, including donors, event participants, volunteers, families, healthcare professionals, researchers, corporate partners, and members of the public seeking information about Breakthrough T1D Canada.
Provide prompt, professional, trusted, and exceptional customer service in both French and English, ensuring a positive supporter experience. Conduct a high volume of outbound recruitment and engagement calls, emails, and follow-up activities to support registration, team formation, participant retention, and fundraising activity across Breakthrough T1D Canada's national fundraising programs. Proactively engage prospective participants, past participants, volunteers, and supporters to encourage involvement in Breakthrough T1D Walk, Ride, and other fundraising initiatives.
Maintain accurate constituent records within the CRM,
including participant information, donor data, interactions, registrations, and fundraising activities. Generate, distribute, and monitor standard fundraising and recruitment reports developed by the national fundraising team to support the day-to-day activities of regional fundraising staff. Fluency in both French and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills. ~1-2 years of experience in customer service, administration, fundraising support, or a related role. ~ Strong customer service and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders. ~ Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel;
experience working with CRM databases is considered an asset. ~ Strong data entry, reporting, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail. ~ Confidence communicating with recent and unfamiliar individuals by phone, email, and other communication channels. Highly organized and detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality. Customer-focused and service-driven, with a passion for creating positive supporter experiences.
Adaptable and flexible in a quick-paced environment with changing priorities and seasonal demands. Results-oriented with a strong commitment to supporting fundraising growth and participant engagement. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak fundraising and event seasons.
Ability to support participants and troubleshoot online fundraising and registration platforms. Comfortable working with databases, reporting tools,
and fundraising technology platforms. Anywhere within Canada, with the ability to effectively support national fundraising programs, engage participants and donors across the country and collaborate with regional and national teams in a remote environment.
