We are looking for a reliable and experienced Owner-Operator with a 26-foot box truck equipped with a tailgate to join our operation.
This is a consistent local and regional delivery opportunity servicing Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, the GTA, Peel Region, York Region, and surrounding areas. The position involves multiple pickups and deliveries throughout the day, with regular weekday work.
Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries safely and efficiently
- Load, unload and safely handle freight using a pallet jack and tailgate when required
- Verify freight and ensure shipments are handled properly
- Complete and maintain required delivery and transportation paperwork
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and shipping/receiving personnel
- Follow all applicable transportation and safety regulations
- Maintain reliable and professional service throughout the workday
Requirements
- Must own and operate a reliable 26-foot box truck equipped with a tailgate
- Newer-model truck preferred
- Valid Ontario G or GZ driver's licence, as applicable
- Clean driver's abstract
- Commercial vehicle insurance and all other insurance required to operate legally
- Vehicle must meet all applicable Ontario commercial vehicle and safety requirements
- Previous commercial delivery or transportation experience
- Experience operating a tailgate and pallet jack
- Ability to safely load, unload and handle freight
- Ability to complete required paperwork accurately
- Solid communication skills
- English language proficiency
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Must provide references
