As a facilitator, you will collaborate with local leaders to plan, implement, and evaluate social and recreational programs for autistic individuals and their families.
This role emphasizes community-based support and requires recruitment and management of volunteers while ensuring an inclusive setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct program support for individuals with autism
- Assess, plan, and evaluate social and recreation activities
- Model positive behaviors and support to volunteers and families
- Ensure participant health, safety, and well-being during activities
- Communicate effectively with staff and program participants
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience preferred
- Clear criminal record check and child abuse registry review needed
- 1-3 years’ experience with autistic individuals preferred
- Certifications in First Aid or ASIST Training preferred
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle necessary
