Elevate the patron experience as a Part-Time Public Services Librarian at London’s Beacock Branch. Work on-site to provide user-focused library services and support community engagement initiatives. As a Public Services Librarian, you’ll play a vital role in delivering the London Public Library's User First services.
This permanent part-time position emphasizes excellent proactive customer service, ensuring patrons' information needs are met across Literacy, Knowledge, Well-Being, and Community Building. You’ll engage with the public through programming, collections management, and technology support while acting as a point of contact for patrons. Key Responsibilities:
- Create exceptional experiences for patrons seeking information
- Plan and deliver programs both in-library and within the community
- Maintain collections and support lending services operations
- Assist patrons with digital resources and technology
- Build relationships with community partners
Requirements:
- Master of Library and Information Science or equivalent
- 6-12 months in a librarian or customer service role
- Excellent communication skills for presentations
- Solid organizational and problem-solving capabilities
- Weekend and evening availability is essential
