Dilawri Group in Ontario is actively seeking a Parts Advisor to join the opening team at Kia Vaughan.
Compensation: Annual salary of $37,500 plus performance-based bonus.
Reporting to the Parts Manager, the Parts Advisor will assist retail, wholesale, and internal customers in identifying, sourcing, and purchasing the correct automotive parts and accessories. The successful candidate will provide knowledgeable and efficient service while supporting inventory accuracy, departmental organization, and overall dealership operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist retail, wholesale, and internal customers with identifying and selecting the correct parts and accessories.
- Provide accurate product, pricing, availability, and ordering information.
- Advise customers about available accessories, promotions, and relevant product options.
- Receive and process parts orders by telephone, email, retail counter, technician counter, and wholesale account.
- Accurately source parts using catalogues, manufacturer systems, and dealership software.
- Pick and fill parts orders from available inventory.
- Prepare orders for shipping, delivery, or customer pickup.
- Receive incoming parts and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Stock new parts promptly and maintain an organized and accurate inventory.
- Process returns, credits, warranty parts, and special orders in accordance with established procedures.
- Notify customers and dealership departments when ordered parts are available.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of transactions, orders, and inventory movements.
- Monitor back orders and follow up on outstanding parts requests.
- Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to support efficient repair-order completion.
- Assist with regular bin checks, cycle counts, and physical inventory activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized parts counter, storage area, and work setting.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and dealership team members.
- Follow manufacturer requirements, company policies, and all applicable health and safety procedures.
- Perform other duties required to support Parts Department operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership Parts Department is preferred.
- Automotive parts, retail parts, or inventory experience is considered an asset.
- Wholesale parts experience is considered an asset.
- Experience using CDK, Reynolds and Reynolds, or a comparable dealership management system is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic parts catalogues and inventory systems is considered an asset.
- Strong automotive parts and product knowledge.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to accurately manage multiple orders and competing priorities.
- Good time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to participate in ongoing manufacturer and dealership training.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with at least three years of licensed driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, bending, reaching, and lifting parts.
