We’re currently seeking a part time Potable Water Treatment Plant Operator to help operate and maintain a water treatment system. This role is ideal for a certified municipal water operator—or someone retired from the field—looking for a flexible, low-commitment opportunity while staying engaged in meaningful work.

Role Responsibilities:

- Ensure operation aligns with performance standards and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor, report, and manage plant performance.
- Flexibility in your work schedule, with the opportunity for some call-in work.

Ideal Candidate: · Completion of a Grade 12 diploma or GED

· Post-secondary education in water and/or wastewater treatment,



or equivalent relevant work experience (required)

· Experience with small plant maintenance or basic mechanical skills (required)

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn other software applications

· Capable of working independently with off-site supervision

· Physically able to lift over 20 kg

· Team-oriented with a cooperative approach

· Ability to pass a satisfactory criminal background check (reliability)

· The following are considered assets:

· Background in plumbing, mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation

· Possession of a provincial water and/or wastewater operator license

- A contract role with a competitive salary range of $30.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience.
