The Corporation of the County of Huron’s Public Works department is seeking Seasonal Full-time Snow Plow Operators !

Position Summary

Maintains roads according to standards using heavy equipment, routine inspection and maintenance of heavy equipment, yards, and shop. Also performs duties of Winter Road Patroller as-needed. The term of the contract will be for the winter season; approximately from November 15, 2026, to April 2027.

Qualifications and Education

15. CLASS DZ DRIVER LICENSE

- 1 YR OPERATING A TRUCK (I.E. TANDEM) IN A CONSTRUCTION OR MAINTENANCE WORKPLACE
- SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE HURON COUNTY PLOW OPERATOR TRAINING PROGRAM.
- DRIVER ABSTRACT WITHOUT SIGNIFICANT VIOLATIONS
- QUALIFIED TO OPERATE A CHAINSAW.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- AZ LICENSE

Competitive Compensation

- $31.92 per hour, as per the 2026 non-union pay grid.
