Role Description The Product Owner at 1 Control Limited will guide the development and improvement of BeMS-related products and services, ensuring they meet customer and market needs. This part-time remote role includes defining and prioritizing product features, maintaining the product backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, sales, and support. Day-to-day tasks involve gathering and analyzing customer feedback, translating requirements into clear user stories, and aligning the product roadmap with business objectives.

The Product

Owner will also support product launches, provide product expertise during customer interactions, and monitor performance metrics to inform continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong product specialist skills, including experience in managing or owning technical or SaaS products, ideally within building controls or energy management.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical skills to interpret data, evaluate product performance,



and make evidence-based decisions on features and priorities.
- Candidates should possess clear and effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, explain product decisions, and document requirements and user stories.
- Candidates should possess customer service and sales-related skills to understand client needs, support solution proposals, and contribute to product positioning in the market.
- Relevant experience working in agile or iterative product development environments is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Building Energy Management Systems or related building services technology is an advantage.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting are required.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in product management, engineering, business, or a related field is preferred.
