BIS Safety Software

Sherwood Park

BIS Safety Software is a SaaS company on a mission to change how organizations manage safety, learning, and compliance. As our product team grows, we need someone who can turn a growing stream of ideas and customer requests into clear requirements for development. That means writing the PRDwith great care, working throughmockupswith our designers, catching edge cases before development starts, and tightening language until the intent is unambiguous.

Our preference is in-person at our Sherwood Park office , and that's the expectation if you're in the Edmonton area. If you're not from the area, this role can be remote. Turnundevelopedcases into build-ready specs, writing PRDs and spec docs that catch edge cases and client use cases before development starts Work throughmockupswith designers and tighten language until a case is genuinely ready to hand off Run a daily check on the highest-priority cases, flaggingwhat'sblocked, waiting, or at risk of missing its target Own scope accuracy on the cases you touch, making sure what reaches development reflects what was actually agreed with the client Use AI as a core part of your workflow,

from drafting specs to iterating on AI output rather than accepting a generic first pass Catch edge cases and gaps that others miss, and would rather redo it right than ship it rapid and wrong Use AI daily in real workflows, with concrete examples of whatyou'vebuilt or automated, not just reformatting text Turn a vague ask into a precise, developer-ready spec in writing, and have examples you can share Bonus points if you have: Experience writing PRDs, spec docs, or similar structured documentation A customer experience or client-facing backgroundyou'relooking to move into product Full medical, dental, and vision coverage Life insurance and disability insurance Health spending account Flexible working hours On-the-job training and growth opportunities Free on-site parking $BIS Safety Software has been headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta, since 2006.

We build software that helps organizations manage safety training, learning, and compliance - and we’re growing! And through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), you have the opportunity to own a piece of the company you’re helping build. #
