Role Description The Project Manager role at MKM Projects Ltd. is a full-time, on-site position based in Qualicum Beach, BC.

The Project

Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects, ensuring they meet quality, schedule, budget, and safety objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating trades and suppliers, managing contracts and change orders, and monitoring in office work progress. The role involves conducting inspections, resolving issues, and communicating regularly with clients, consultants,



and internal teams to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.

The Project

Manager also supports sustainability and quality initiatives, applying MKM’s IQMS and business-smart solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting experience to manage material deliveries, track orders, and mitigate supply delays.
- Candidates should possess Inspection capabilities to verify workmanship, ensure compliance with plans and codes, and support quality control.
- Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to organize site operations, coordinate equipment and trades, and maintain effective workflows.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience with commercial construction projects, contract administration, and construction scheduling software is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on-site.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and sustainable construction practices is preferred.
