Touch Brain Counselor is a mental health clinic dedicated to supporting individuals through counselling, psychological therapies, and brain-based interventions. We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Psychology Graduate / Neurofeedback Assistant to join our clinical team in Coquitlam, BC.
Position Overview The Neurofeedback Assistant will support clinicians in the delivery of neurofeedback services by preparing clients for sessions, setting up neurofeedback equipment and sensors, monitoring sessions under clinical supervision, maintaining accurate documentation, and helping provide a professional and positive client experience.
Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare clients for neurofeedback sessions.
- Set up and remove neurofeedback equipment and sensors.
- Assist with neurofeedback equipment according to established clinical protocols and under clinical supervision.
- Monitor clients during sessions and communicate relevant observations to the supervising clinician.
- Maintain accurate session records and documentation.
- Clean, disinfect, and organize treatment rooms and equipment according to clinic protocols.
- Provide skilled, compassionate, and respectful support to clients.
- Follow clinic policies regarding confidentiality, privacy, safety, and professional boundaries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
- Previous experience in a psychology, mental health, counselling, behavioural, or clinical setting.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working with technology and computer-based systems.
- Ability to follow clinical protocols and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a supervised clinical team.
- Fluency in English is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with neurofeedback or other neuroscience-based interventions is an asset.
- Experience working directly with children, adolescents, or adults in a clinical or therapeutic environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and maintaining accurate session records is an asset.
- Previous Canadian work experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Farsi (Persian) is considered an asset.
