We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist, based out of our Saint John, NB location (331 Chesley Drive, Saint John, NB).

Summary:

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for monitoring, evaluating, and improving organizational processes to ensure products, services, and operations meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The incumbent conducts audits, investigates quality issues, recommends corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management

- Monitor compliance with established quality standards, policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews to evaluate operational effectiveness.
- Identify quality risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and supporting documentation.

Auditing and Compliance
- Perform internal audits and inspections across departments and operational locations.
- Monitor compliance with applicable legislation, industry regulations, customer requirements, and company standards.
- Support external audits, certification processes, and compliance reviews.
- Track corrective and preventive actions through to successful completion.

Continuous Improvement
- Analyze quality metrics, trends, and performance data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
- Recommend enhancements to processes, systems, and workflows that improve quality and operational efficiency.




- Participate in cross-functional quality improvement initiatives and projects.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of quality management programs.

Investigation and Corrective Action
- Investigate quality concerns, customer complaints, non-conformances, and operational incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis and document findings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive action plans.
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Training and Communication
- Provide guidance and training on quality standards, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Assist departments in implementing quality best practices and process improvements.

Reporting and Customer Support
- Prepare and maintain quality metrics, reports, and performance dashboards.
- Present audit findings, trends, and recommendations to management.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and compliance.
- Prepare and present equipment repair reports and supporting documentation to customers.

Field Service Coordination
- Coordinate and schedule Field Service Technicians for preventive maintenance, planned service activities, and urgent repair requests.
- Create, manage, and track service work orders to support field service operations.
- Ensure required parts and materials are ordered, available, and allocated to service jobs in a timely manner.
- Prepare and communicate final service quotations, service summaries, and invoicing details to customers upon job completion.
- Liaise with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication and service delivery.

Qualifications:

- Diploma or degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Professional quality certifications such as ISO Internal Auditor, ASQ,



Six Sigma, or related designations are considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, compliance, auditing, or a related field.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, and quality reviews.
- Experience working within Quality Management Systems (QMS) and continuous improvement environments.
- Experience coordinating service operations or supporting field service activities is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and quality reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to work effectively in office, warehouse, and operational environments, with periodic travel for site visits, inspections, audits, and customer interactions.

In accordance with provincial wage transparency requirements, the expected base compensation for this position is $60,000-$80,000/year (or more) depending on experience, technical competencies, certifications, and qualifications.
