- Provide primarily one-to-one, short-term, evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy to undergraduate and graduate learners - Support learners experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, academic and professional stress, relationship concerns, identity development, cultural adjustment and major life transitions - Conduct psychological assessment, DSM-5 diagnosis and treatment planning - Coordinate referrals for specialized or longer-term care where appropriate - Provide crisis intervention and urgent support, including risk assessment, safety planning and critical incident debriefing - Apply trauma-informed, culturally responsive and evidence-based approaches - Maintain timely and appropriate clinical documentation - Collaborate with psychologists and social workers in the Office of Advocacy and Wellbeing - Consult with FoPPS faculty and staff regarding student mental health supports and referral processes - Connect learners with appropriate campus or community resources - Deliver occasional group sessions or psychoeducational programming - Contribute clinical insight to student wellness initiatives, service evaluation or planning Requirements - Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology or a closely related field that supports registration as a psychologist in Alberta - Registration as a Psychologist in valuable standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists - At least five years of professional counselling or clinical experience working with diverse and complex mental health concerns - Experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy, including trauma-informed approaches - Experience with crisis intervention,



assessment and treatment planning - Strong clinical judgement and ability to work independently within professional and ethical standards - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to establish trust with learners from diverse backgrounds - Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary environment - Occasional late-afternoon or evening availability - Resume and cover letter submitted as one document Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in evidence-based counselling and psychotherapy, with a focus on trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches.
