Atara Psychotherapy is a warm, growing private psychotherapy practice located in the heart of Unionville, Markham. We are currently welcoming applications from Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) and Qualifying Registered Psychotherapists (RPQs) who are thoughtful, compassionate clinicians interested in joining a supportive private practice environment.

About the Role

This is an independent contractor position for a clinician who is looking to build or grow their private practice within an established practice setting.

Clinicians will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client population, with referrals matched based on clinical fit, experience, areas of interest, and availability.

The role may include working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and/or families, depending on your clinical interests and scope of practice.

Responsibilities

- Provide ethical, competent psychotherapy within your scope of practice
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Manage scheduling and communication with clients professionally
- Maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
- Complete required intake, consent, and practice documentation
- Communicate with the practice owner regarding referrals, scheduling, and clinical/practice-related matters as needed
- Maintain registration and professional requirements with the appropriate regulatory body

Qualifications Required:

- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), or
- Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist (RP (qualifying)) in good standing with CRPO
- Professional liability insurance
- Ability to practice independently within your scope of practice
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centred care

Pay: Up to $100.00 per hour
