Our Community Support
Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible. We are currently looking to fill 1 new opportunity for a Full-Time Brain Injury Rehabilitation Worker in our Northeast region - Elliot Lake, ON.
Starting wage: $23.35 per hour . This compensation is inclusive of a $3.00 per hour wage enhancement from the Ontario government for hours spent directly supporting clients. The wage enhancement does not apply to training and paid leave.
Implement individualized support services plans within the home and/or community for adults with brain injury (BI) Assist individuals with brain injury in instrumental activities of daily living, cognitive and problem-solving skills, community orientation and integration Provide services on a flexible basis during weekday business hours Participate in training as required Follow policies and procedures as required Post-Secondary in Human or Social Services preferred or Rehabilitation Assistant diploma Minimum of three years’ experience in Human Services field and/or working with people with ABI Current CPR,
First Aid is an asset Proven consistency in work performance, including reliability and flexibility Knowledge of and experience working with local community housing and social services resources Ability to speak, read, and write English French-English bilingualism an asset Contributing to our important mission: creating real change for people with disabilities.
