The Reliability Analyst will extract and analyze aircraft reliability data to improve the reliability performance of the Air Canada and Rouge fleets. This position report and work in collaboration with the Manager, Reliability and ETOPs in all of the activities associated with establishing and managing the Reliability and ETOPS Program.

Responsibilities:

The Reliability Analyst will work in collaboration with the Reliability & ETOPS Manager on the development and management of the Air Canada fleet Reliability Program from a maintenance perspective. This would also include the management of Air Canada’s ETOPS Program. Routine roles and responsibilities of the Reliability Analyst will include but not be limited to the following:

- Collect and analyze monthly/quarterly reliability statistics for each fleet by ATA and system, in order to set the agenda and participate in the working group meetings.
- Monitor and analyze the Reliability Performance of the Air Canada and Rouge Fleet, including ETOPS parameters.
- Collect, validate, and analyze fleet reliability data by ATA chapter, system, component, and failure category to identify trends and deterioration drivers.
- Conduct detailed reliability investigations to identify recurring defects, emerging trends, failure modes, and contributing factors impacting fleet performance.
- Prepare and distribute quarterly reports to stakeholders including Transport Canada and ACA senior management. This requires reviewing and understanding incident reports, defect rectifications and engineering reports to prepare the full summary.
- Identify fleet, system, and component reliability risks and proactively highlight areas requiring attention before significant operational impact occurs.
- Propose technical recommendations, mitigation strategies,



and improvement plans for discussion with Engineering, Fleet Management, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and facilitation of Fleet Reliability Working Groups (RWGs), including agenda development, deep-dive investigations, technical presentations, and action tracking.
- Assist in the day-to-day activities of the ETOPS Reliability program.
- Coordinate data collection from multiple departments and analyze to produce ETOPS reports and presentations.
- Review ETOPS Significant Events, including Engine In-Flight Shutdowns (IFSD), diversions, turnbacks, and other critical events, and support the assessment of corrective actions.
- Participate in cross-functional investigations involving Engineering, Maintenance, Flight Operations, Supply Chain, OEMs, and vendors as required.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced workplace.

- College diploma or university degree in Engineering, Aviation, Statistics, Data Analytics, Aircraft Maintenance, or a related field.
- Ability to independently conduct investigations using multiple data sources with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify failure patterns, recurring defects, emerging trends, and potential failure modes through technical analysis.
- General understanding of aircraft systems, including propulsion, electrical, hydraulic, avionics, structural systems (knowledge of the ATA chapters).
- Understanding of aircraft maintenance practices, reliability programs, and airline operations.
- Knowledge of Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)



and Transport Canada policy guidance on ETOPs program requirements.
- Ability to develop practical, data-driven recommendations and improvement plans.
- Experience analyzing large datasets and synthesizing information from multiple sources.
- Experience with business intelligence, reporting, data analytics, or reliability tools would be considered an asset (Power BI, Skywise, Airbusworld apps, My Boeing fleet apps).
