Role Description:
The Reliability Engineer is required to identify, analysis and report problems related to aircraft components performance. Determine the root cause of the issues and work with the OEMs/MROs to develop solutions to enhance the components’ reliability.
What you will be responsible for:
- Prepare reports / presentations on the component’s reliability based on the KPI’s such as MTBUR or removals/1000 hrs., NFF, LTU and FOF rates.
- Report on repeat offenders and identify rogue components based on the industry defined criterion.
- Perform Value Engineering tasks related to the aircraft mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel systems components.
- Dissect Tear Down Reports (TDR) provided by the OEM/MRO.
- Recommend modifications and/or enhanced work-scope where necessary to improve the components’ reliability and/or the reduction of the cost of the components repair.
- Prepare business cases and cost/benefit analyses of any recommendations.
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or have equivalent, work experience as an aircraft components maintenance technician.
- Competency in gathering data and manipulating into a reports/presentation.
- Fully proficient in Microsoft office and familiar with Power-BI/DOMO tools.
- In depth knowledge of using the Aircraft Components Maintenance Manules (CMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogue (IPC) and other aircraft engineering documents.
