Rental Technician
- - - POSITION SUMMARY
Maintain a constant and efficient flow of guests through the Rental Shop while providing fast, courteous, accurate and friendly service.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Greet customers and assist them with questions, accurately and efficiently provide appropriate rental equipment.
2. Be knowledgeable of every station and move around as required by the line-ups or as told by your supervisor or team leader.
3. Explain the rental waiver and ensure they are accurately filled out and filed.
4. Fit guests with helmets, ski or snowboard boots as well recommend ski or snowboard length and ensure the accurate setting of the bindings.
5. Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness, tidiness and a professional image to our guests. Inform management team if supplies are required.
6. Repair and tune equipment as required. Let supervisors and/or manager with any damaged equipment.
7. Demonstrate equipment to guests. Explain how ski/snowboard bindings work, how to handle ski poles properly.
8. Inspect and maintain rental equipment daily to identify maintenance requirements and losses.
Follow up as required.
9. Inspect all returned equipment for damage and match with the appropriate forms & waivers.
10. Assist guests in solving problems & or complaints. Keep management team informed of guest related problems.
11. Be aware of events, school bookings, corporate and group functions each shift.
- Provide a safe, uncluttered, litter-free environment.
13. Perform all job duties in a safe manner. Advise management team of any improvements to work processes.

15. Perform other responsibilities when required as directed by Rental Team Leaders, Supervisor and
Manager.

WORKING CONDITIONS
• This position is seasonal and includes working on weeknights, weekends and holidays.
• May lift & carry items up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
• May push & or pull items up 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Exposed to changes in temperature on a daily basis from work both indoors and outdoors.
HEALTH & SAFETY HAZARDS
Identified health and safety hazards associated with this position include: musculoskeletal strains from repetitive movements, strain from lifting, falls from ladders, cuts, slipping, tripping and exposure to changes in temperature.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
There are no standard educational requirements for this position due to the seasonal and part time nature of the position and most training is completed on the job.
