Drive clinical research at UBC as a part time Research Assistant focused on ovarian cancer prevention.
Your role involves participant screening, data collection, and attending surgical procedures. Supported by the Department of Surgery, the Research Assistant will carry crucial responsibilities in evaluating opportunistic salpingectomy's effectiveness. Key tasks include identifying eligible participants, obtaining informed consent, and collecting surgical data. Collaborative efforts with clinical teams are vital for accurate and ethical study execution. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify eligible participants from clinical records
- Screen and document participant eligibility
- Obtain informed consent from study participants
- Attend surgical procedures for observational data collection
- Maintain confidentiality and ethical compliance in all activities Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree with two years related experience
- Knowledge of clinical research and patient interaction
- Experience in screening and recruiting participants
- Familiarity with operating room procedures is preferred
