- Translate Sadie's product vision and roadmap into actionable product initiatives.
- Own and maintain the product backlog and define priorities aligned with the roadmap.
- Break initiatives into requirements, user stories, workflows, tickets, and acceptance criteria.
- Define product behaviour across customer scenarios and edge cases.
- Provide engineering with context and requirements needed to build features without ambiguity.
- Collaborate with engineering throughout development to answer questions, resolve ambiguity, make trade-offs, and maintain alignment with intended outcomes.
- Review and validate completed work against requirements and acceptance criteria before release.
- Test Sadie in real-world scenarios.
- Review customer calls, feedback, and product usage to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Translate customer and internal-team feedback into actionable product requirements.
- Coordinate product pilots and releases, including scope, expected behaviour, success criteria, and feedback loops.
- Identify dependencies, blockers, risks, and missing requirements before delivery is affected.
- Maintain documentation for product functionality, decisions, requirements, and expected behaviour.
- Track roadmap progress and communicate product status, blockers, and changes to stakeholders.
- Ensure shipped features fulfil the product vision and solve the intended customer problem.
- Continuously improve requirements definition, communication, testing, and delivery across the product organization.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar product-focused role.
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams to deliver customer-facing products.
- Strong ability to turn high-level product ideas into detailed, actionable requirements.
- Experience writing product tickets, user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Strong understanding of product workflows, user journeys, edge cases, and expected system behaviours.
- Experience managing and prioritizing a product backlog.
- Solid attention to detail and ability to identify gaps or ambiguity before development begins.
- Ability to understand technical concepts sufficiently to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make pragmatic decisions when requirements or priorities change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong ownership and accountability for final product quality.
- Experience with conversational, voice, communications, or workflow products is a plus.
- Experience with hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or other service-based businesses is a plus.
- Experience managing complex products with multiple integrations and dependencies is a plus.
- Startup or fast-moving product workplace experience is a plus.
