The Role:

The Retail Analyst (RA) is responsible to support the collection and analysis of data for the convenience retail business. The RA will develop a thorough understanding of the business processes which generate and rely on convenience retail data, as well as conduct analyses, provide insights, solutions, and improvements to current processes. They will also develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met.

As well, the RA will execute business controls, working extensively in our back office system (PDI) and conduct investigations to resolve and address issues.

Key Activities:

Convenience Store System Controls

- Using data from various systems, monitor the performance and quality control plans of the Convenience Store System.
- Develop and produce analysis and reporting on c-store transaction data, including analysis on margin, inventory levels and other areas as required.
- Work collaboratively with retailers,



vendors and other departments to resolve any c-store data, set-up or process issues.

Reporting and Analysis

- Design self-serve reports for use by different departments and support them with analysis as needed.
- Access data and conduct analysis to provide insights and improvements to processes.

Skills & Attributes Required:

- University degree in Business, or related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in data analytics (SQL, database and BI).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Skills & Attributes Desired:

- Experience with Retail business and Power BI.
- Experience with PDI an asset.

Compensation

$65,000 - $75,000 per annum
