Rocks & Gems is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for our Whistler Location. We are looking for someone who prides themselves in providing exceptional customer service. The ideal Assistant Store Manager will have 1+ years of management experience. Previous retail experience is an asset but not required.
We offer a competitive training wage with a raise after the probationary training period is completed as well as: Ski Pass or similar Wellness Benefit during the winter months, extended medical benefits, commission on large sales and a summer monthly bonus program that runs May through September. Having own housing is preferred.
Job Duties include the following:
- Create a professional environment that is welcoming to customers and staff
-Motivating the team to provide exceptional customer service
- Assisting the Store Manager and the Floor Manger with the day to day running of the store
- Staff Supervision
-Assist in the training of new team members -Merchandising: stock is displayed neat and tidy in the "Rocks & Gems" manner
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the store and inventory control by doing daily, weekly and monthly tasks
- Deposits and change runs to the bank
-Able to work a mix of closing, mid and opening shifts with set days off of Thurs & Fri -Overseeing the staff housing: includes move in/outs, accepting damage deposits, and inspections as required
