Dilawri Group in Ontario is actively seeking a New Car Sales Manager and a Used Car Sales Manager to join the opening leadership team at Kia Vaughan.

Compensation: Total compensation is inclusive of salary and performance-based bonus.

Candidates must be available to work evenings and Saturdays as required.

Reporting to the General Manager, each Sales Manager will lead their respective department and play an important role in establishing Kia Vaughan’s sales operations. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing their teams, achieving sales and profitability targets, managing inventory, maintaining effective processes, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

- Help establish the dealership’s sales processes, operating standards, and customer experience in preparation for opening.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and motivate a high-performing team of Sales Consultants.
- Establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for achieving individual and departmental objectives.
- Work collaboratively with the General Manager to establish monthly sales, gross-profit, inventory, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly departmental performance and implement action plans when results are below target.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and performance reviews.




- Ensure Sales Consultants consistently follow established sales processes and use dealership systems and tools effectively.
- Support the sales team in structuring transactions, overcoming objections, and closing deals.
- Respond to customer concerns that cannot be resolved by Sales Consultants and work toward timely and professional resolutions.
- Maintain a visible presence on the sales floor and support an engaging, customer-focused environment.
- Review inventory daily and ensure vehicles are properly priced, merchandised, displayed, and available for delivery.
- Work with dealership leadership to maintain an appropriate inventory mix based on sales trends, market demand, and departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Service, Parts, and Accounting departments to support efficient transactions and vehicle deliveries.
- Monitor customer leads, follow-up activity, appointments, closing ratios, and other key sales performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with OMVIC requirements, manufacturer standards, company policies, and all applicable legislation.
- Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
- Maintain current knowledge of automotive market conditions, competitor activity, manufacturer programs, and industry trends.
- Perform other duties required to support the dealership’s sales operations and overall success.

Current Car Sales Manager Responsibilities In addition to the responsibilities above, the New Car Sales Manager will:

- Oversee the performance, inventory, merchandising, and profitability of the New Vehicle Sales Department.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve manufacturer sales targets and dealership objectives.
- Monitor factory orders, incoming inventory, vehicle allocations, and aging units.
- Ensure the department effectively communicates and applies current manufacturer programs and incentives.
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer representatives.
- Monitor and support the achievement of customer satisfaction and manufacturer performance standards.

Used Car Sales Manager Responsibilities In addition to the responsibilities above, the Used Car Sales Manager will:

- Oversee the performance, inventory, merchandising, and profitability of the Used Vehicle Sales Department.
- Source and acquire appropriate used vehicle inventory through appraisals, trade-ins, auctions, and other approved channels.




- Complete or oversee accurate vehicle appraisals using current market data.
- Monitor inventory aging, pricing, reconditioning costs, and turn rates.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve used vehicle sales volume, gross profit, and inventory turnover.
- Coordinate with the Service Department to ensure vehicles are reconditioned and prepared for sale efficiently.
- Monitor local market activity and adjust pricing and acquisition strategies accordingly.

Qualifications

- Minimum of three years of automotive sales management experience in a dealership environment.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing a sales team.
- Experience managing a team of at least five to ten employees.
- Valid OMVIC registration.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong understanding of dealership sales operations, inventory management, gross-profit performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Experience using One-Eighty, TMS, vAuto, or comparable dealership management and inventory systems is considered an asset.
- Solid leadership, coaching, and performance-management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-resolution abilities.
- Professional demeanour with an engaging and positive leadership style.
- Self-motivated, process-oriented, and accountable for results.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain effective in a rapid-paced environment.
- Comfortable using technology and analyzing sales and inventory performance data.
- Availability to work evenings and Saturdays as required.
