Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sales Operations Analyst to work closely with the President of our company.

In this role, you will leverage advanced analytics tools, that bridges supply chain and revenue goals. You will analyze inventory, support the forecasting of demand, optimize production schedules, and support sales teams by tracking order fulfillment, pricing accuracy, and market trends for steel pipe and tubing products.

Duties

- Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and PowerPoint to visualize sales performance metrics and trends.
- Collaborate with sales teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into actionable insights through detailed business analysis.
- Manage projects related to sales process improvements by applying Agile methodologies and adhering to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Design and optimize databases using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms; write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Automate routine reporting tasks with VBA macros or Bash scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis using R, Python, or other statistical tools to identify patterns, forecast sales trends, and support strategic planning initiatives.
- Support database design efforts by ensuring data integrity, consistency, and security while collaborating with IT teams on system upgrades or migrations.




- Use Visio or similar diagramming tools to map out process workflows and system architectures for better understanding and communication across teams.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in business analysis with a solid understanding of sales operations processes.
- Proficiency in SQL programming (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle) along with experience in database design and management.
- Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, R, or Python for data visualization and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of project management principles with experience applying Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes for software development projects related to sales systems.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets accurately.
- Technical expertise in VBA scripting, Bash (Unix shell), or other automation tools for report generation.
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms like Oracle or SQL Server is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly using Visio diagrams or similar visual aids.
