Brand Vision
Toronto
Brand Vision is a Toronto-based web design, branding, and marketing agency, with additional offices in Chicago, San Francisco, and Miami. We work with clients across Canada and the United States, from enterprise organizations to founder-led startups, delivering web design, branding, SEO, paid media, and marketing consultation that stays practical and measurable.
Brand Vision is looking for a Sales Specialist to open current conversations and keep the pipeline full. This is an outbound role first, built on cold calls, cold emails, and direct outreach, and a client-facing role second. You book the meetings, you sit in them, and you help carry the opportunity through to signature. With clients including ArcelorMittal, Safeway, First Horizon Bank, and McGill University, it means selling work that holds up in the room.
What the role involves
Cold calling and outbound: This role lives on the phone. The Sales Specialist works a daily call and email list, dials companies that have never heard of us, and gets past the first thirty seconds often enough to build real pipeline. Outreach runs across phone, email, and LinkedIn, targeting founders, marketing directors, and VPs in B2B, professional services, real estate, technology, and healthcare. You build your own list and you work it.
Email and follow-up: Writing outreach that gets a reply is half the job. The Sales Specialist writes their own sequences and follow-ups. Short, specific, and addressed to one person about something actually happening in their business. Templates blasted at a thousand addresses do not work here. Follow-up is persistent and organized without becoming a nuisance.
Qualifying calls: First conversations surface what the client is actually dealing with, not just the project they arrived asking for. The Sales Specialist qualifies each opportunity against budget, timeline, decision process, and fit,
and disqualifies early when the work isn't right for Brand Vision.
Building the approach: This is not a role that only runs the playbook it gets handed. The Sales Specialist is expected to bring ideas about which industries to go after, which messages land, and which channels are worth the time. That means watching what actually converts, changing the approach when something stops working, and putting new ideas forward instead of waiting to be told. If you find a better way to fill the pipeline, we want to hear it.
Meetings and client conversations: Meetings happen on video and in person, at our office and at theirs. The Sales Specialist runs or co-runs those conversations, presents clearly, and can hold a credible discussion about websites, branding, and SEO with a marketing director. You don't need to be able to do the work, but you need to understand it well enough that nobody in the room has to correct you.
Proposals, closing, and support: The Sales Specialist briefs our strategy, design, and SEO leads on what the client needs, then works with them to shape the proposal. On smaller and mid-sized projects, this role runs the deal through to close. On larger opportunities, it supports senior sales by building the case and staying in the room. Once a contract is signed, the project belongs to delivery and the Sales Specialist returns to prospecting.
Pipeline hygiene: Every call, email, and meeting gets logged.
CRM records stay current so forecasting is accurate and nothing falls through.
What we're looking for
Required
- This is a full-time, in-office role at our Toronto location. Candidates must be currently residing in Toronto or the surrounding area within reasonable commuting distance. Applications from outside this radius will not be considered.
- Minimum 2 years in a sales role, with real outbound experience. You should be able to describe how you built a territory from cold.
- Genuine comfort cold calling at volume. This role makes calls every day and hears no far more often than yes. Rejection cannot slow you down.
- Strong written outreach. You can write a cold email and a follow-up that a busy person actually answers.
- Working knowledge of marketing, websites, SEO, and branding. Enough to explain what we do, why it matters, and roughly what it costs, without reaching for help mid-sentence.
- Confident on the phone, on video, and in the room. You can lead a conversation, present your thinking clearly, and write a follow-up that moves the deal forward.
- Fast and adaptable. Our services and positioning change, and you should be able to pick up a new offering and be selling it credibly within a week.
- Organized and self-directed. Nobody will build your call list for you or remind you to follow up.
Nice to have
- Experience selling web design, branding, SEO, or paid media specifically.
- Agency, consultancy, or professional services background.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or a comparable CRM and prospecting stack.
- An established network in the Toronto business, marketing, or founder community.
- Experience selling both one-time projects and ongoing monthly retainers.
- Comfort working alongside AI tools for research, list building, and drafting.
