Overview
We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will help build, automate, and support the infrastructure and pipelines that enable our software development lifecycle, working in a collaborative, global environment. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- CI/CD & Automation: Analyze, design, build, test, and implement CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to support application delivery.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Set up, configure, and maintain cloud-based environments on platforms like on-premise Elastic Cloud (ECS) and public cloud providers, ensuring they are scalable and resilient.
- System Reliability & Support: Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, perform impact and root cause analysis (RCA), and work with development teams to restore services and ensure system stability.
- Collaboration & Support: Partner with global development teams to understand infrastructure needs, consult on deployment strategies,
and provide solutions to streamline the development lifecycle.
- Process Automation & Optimization: Identify and automate manual operational tasks, help define and enforce best practices for CI/CD, and continuously improve deployment processes for efficiency and reliability.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all infrastructure and deployment pipelines adhere to policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements, applying sound risk management practices.
- Project Management: Create simplified project plans, perform impact analyses, solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolution to restore services.
- Issue Management: Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of service.
- Leadership: Performs SME role and has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Qualifications:
- Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Experience with the software development lifecycle and CI/CD concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., ECS, AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code principles.
- Robust problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting system and infrastructure issues.
- Ability to operate with a degree of independence and work effectively in a team environment.
- A foundational understanding of risk assessment, security, and compliance in a business conte
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
