Overview

We are seeking a agile and experienced Senior Plant Scientist to join our Grow/R&D; team. This pivotal role involves managing the entire growing process, from seedling to harvest, ensuring optimal plant health, quality, and yield. Your expertise will drive vegetable production goals, R&D; efforts, development of new products, improve existing formulations, and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices.

Responsibilities

- Lead research initiatives focused on plant biology, crop improvement, and ingredient functionality to support product development goals.
- Design and execute laboratory experiments, collecting detailed data on plant growth, composition, and response to various conditions.
- Analyze experimental data using statistical tools to identify trends, optimize processes, and inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, quality assurance, and supply chain to translate scientific findings into practical applications.
- Maintain meticulous records of research activities, experimental procedures, and results for reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Stay current with advancements in plant science, food industry trends,



and laboratory techniques to continuously enhance research quality.
- Support field trials and laboratory testing to evaluate new plant varieties or ingredients for commercial viability.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in the food industry or related fields with a strong background in plant science or agricultural research.
- Laboratory experience with skills in sample preparation, data collection, and analysis techniques relevant to plant biology.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions through research and experimentation.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and statistical tools to interpret complex datasets effectively.
- Strong analysis skills with attention to detail in documenting procedures and results.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting findings clearly across teams and stakeholders.
- A degree in Plant Science, Agriculture, Food Science or a related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
