We are seeking an experienced

Senior Playwright Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust automation solutions for web and API testing. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with

Playwright

, solid API testing experience, and a good understanding of the

Insurance domain

, particularly

Underwriting, Policy, and Claims

.

Key Requirements

- Strong hands-on experience with

Playwright as the primary automation tool.

- Experience developing and maintaining

UI automation frameworks and test scripts

.

- Hands-on experience with

API testing

, including REST/SOAP, Postman, Rest Assured, or equivalent tools.

- Good understanding of the

Insurance domain

, preferably across

Underwriting, Policy, and Claims

.

- Strong experience in

End-to-End (E2E), integration, and regression testing

.

- Exposure to

Generative AI / Agentic AI in test automation is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable

Playwright automation frameworks and scripts

.

- Execute

API testing and validation across multiple services and integrations.

- Perform

E2E, integration, and regression testing across applications.

- Identify, document, triage, and prioritize defects to ensure timely resolution.





- Analyze failures and collaborate with

Development, Business, and onsite teams to resolve issues.

- Participate in requirement discussions and provide input on testability and automation strategy.

- Support quality gates and ensure entry/exit criteria are consistently met.

- Analyze defects and work with cross-functional teams to support quick resolution within tight release timelines.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes, frameworks, and testing practices.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience with

CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as

AWS, Azure, or GCP

.

- Experience working in

Agile/Scrum environments.

- Experience with test data management and test environment coordination.

- Exposure to

GenAI/Agentic AI-based testing or automation solutions

.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on automation specialist who can independently build and maintain Playwright frameworks, has robust API testing capabilities, understands Insurance business processes, and can effectively collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.
