About The Role The Senior Quality Engineer at Ecolab plays a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing product quality standards across our manufacturing and design processes. This position requires a strategic thinker and a proactive leader who can influence quality decisions at an enterprise level.

The Senior Quality

Engineer is responsible for leading complex investigations, driving systemic improvements, and mentoring teams to embed quality best practices throughout the product lifecycle. Acting as a key interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, this role ensures that quality is integrated into all aspects of our operations, aligning with our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a BS or MS degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering. A Professional Engineer designation is preferred. A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant quality engineering experience is required, demonstrating a strong background in leading investigations, problem-solving methodologies, and cross-functional collaboration.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship. Additional preferred qualifications include experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks,



excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to influence company-wide quality strategies.

Responsibilities

- Lead complex, high-impact investigations involving customer escalations, systemic field failures, RMAs, and critical non-conformances utilizing advanced problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, DOE, and statistical analysis.
- Translate field data, failure trends, and customer feedback into actionable insights, supporting strategic quality decisions across the organization.
- Collaborate with leadership across Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Professional Services to align quality objectives with overall business goals.
- Drive fact-based decision-making processes, ensuring root causes are thoroughly understood, documented, and validated before closure.
- Review and verify investigations, containment actions, and CAPA effectiveness for investigations led by other teams.
- Serve as the primary quality interface during significant quality events with strategic customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and resolution.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve critical quality issues, ensuring accountability, timely execution, and sustainable outcomes.
- Support customer communication by clearly articulating technical findings, associated risks, and corrective actions at operational and leadership levels.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of quality standards, procedures, control plans,



and best practices to foster continuous improvement.
- Develop and deliver training programs on quality tools, structured problem-solving, and investigation best practices to production, engineering, and quality personnel.
- Act as a go-to resource and escalation point for complex or ambiguous quality challenges, providing expert guidance and support.
