Position: 100%Remote Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer/ Consultant/ Analyst

Location: 100%Remote

Duration : 6+ Months

:-

1. Installing, maintaining, and supporting IBM and ISV software using SMP/E and z/OSMF
2. Applying critical, recommended, and security-related patches
3. Supporting z/OS operating-system and mainframe hardware upgrades
4. Troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and system issues
5. Monitoring and tuning system performance
6. Managing RACF security policies and protocols
7. Supporting backup and disaster-recovery processes
8. Using scripting and automation to improve system reliability
9. Creating technical documentation and mentoring junior team members





The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of mainframe systems programming experience and robust knowledge of:

1. z/OS, ISPF, TSO, SDSF, JES2, VTAM, USS, and WLM
2. SMP/E and z/OSMF
3. RACF, RMM, CICS, DB2, SMF, and RMF
4. JCL and REXX
5. Mainframe hardware, DASD, and virtual-tape management
6. BMC MainView, BMC AMI Command Center, or similar monitoring tools
7. IBM and third-party ISV software installations System upgrades, automation, performance tuning, and disaster recovery
