Join our family run bar and restaurant in a busy hockey arena, serving local and out of town teams during tournament weekends and local youth and adult teams and families weekends and week nights. We are looking for experienced servers who enjoy the thrill of serving in a rapid paced environment and who love bringing joy to customers with friendly and outgoing service.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience - key focus being customer satisfaction
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) processing credit, debit and cash transactions
- Mix classic and signature cocktails, pour wine and beer and propare non-alcoholic options accurately and swiftly
- Monitor quality and consistency of meals coming from the kitchen, liasing with cooks to ensure all meals are prepared to standard
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satistaction and increaase sales opportunites
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining areas, food handling and serving stations.
- Work as a team with other servers, hostess staff, kitchen staff and management. Maintaining open dialogue which creates effective team work
- Maintain cleanliness of server section during shift. Assist with restaurant and bar clean up at close. Restock bar and restaurant as required. Process end of shift reports
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is required - minimum of 1-3 years of serving/bartending
- Valid Smartserver
- Knowledge of mixology, spirits and craft cocktail preparation
- Excellent multitasking and time-managment under pressure
- Must be able available to work 3-5 shifts per week, including Saturday and Sunday.
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and basic food handling techniques
- Basic math skills for cashiering, billing, and transaction accuracy
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Available to work opening and closing shift hours
Pay: $17.60 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
