Dilawri Group in Ontario is actively seeking a Service Advisor to join the opening team at Kia Vaughan.

Total Compensation: $60,000–$85,000 annually, inclusive of salary and performance-based bonus.

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Advisor will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the Service Department. The successful candidate will guide customers through the service and repair process, provide clear recommendations and updates, and help ensure every customer receives a professional, transparent, and efficient experience.

Responsibilities

- Welcome customers to the Service Department and determine their vehicle maintenance and repair needs.
- Schedule service appointments and accurately document customer concerns and requested work.
- Prepare detailed repair orders and ensure all relevant customer and vehicle information is complete.




- Review manufacturer maintenance schedules and recommend required or preventative services based on vehicle needs.
- Explain inspection results, recommended repairs, costs, and expected completion times clearly and professionally.
- Obtain customer authorization before proceeding with repairs or additional work.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and provide timely updates regarding the status of their vehicles.
- Coordinate with technicians, Parts Advisors, and other dealership departments to support efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Review completed work and invoices for accuracy before the vehicle is returned to the customer.
- Explain completed repairs, warranty coverage, and future maintenance recommendations at the time of vehicle pickup.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to sell required maintenance and repair services based on customer needs.
- Follow up with customers after service visits to support satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns promptly, professionally, and respectfully.
- Maintain accurate and complete records in the dealership management system.
- Meet or exceed established sales, productivity, customer satisfaction, and retention targets.
- Stay informed about manufacturer programs, warranty requirements, recalls, and technical service campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, manufacturer standards, privacy requirements, and all applicable legislation.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused Service Department culture.

Qualifications

- Previous automotive Service Advisor experience in a dealership environment is preferred.
- Experience using CDK or a comparable dealership management system is considered an asset.




- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Demonstrated ability to recommend and sell required maintenance and repair services.
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple customers, repair orders, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, positive, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to take ownership of customer concerns and bring them to a timely resolution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Comfortable using technology and learning dealership systems.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with at least three years of licensed driving experience and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Availability to work Saturdays as required.
