Heavy Cooling Tower Service Inc. (HCTS) is looking for a mechanically inclined Service Technician to join our field team.

HCTS specializes in industrial cooling tower maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, preventative maintenance and related field services throughout Southern Ontario.

This is a hands-on field service position for someone who enjoys mechanical work, troubleshooting, working with tools and solving problems. Cooling tower experience is considered an asset, but it is not required. We are interested in candidates with experience in industrial maintenance, millwright work, HVAC, construction, automotive/heavy equipment or other mechanical field-service environments.

What You’ll Do
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections and repairs on industrial cooling towers and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and operational issues
- Repair and replace cooling tower components as required
- Assist with cooling tower rebuilds, refurbishments and installations
- Use power tools and other field-service equipment safely and effectively
- Assist with water-quality testing and water-treatment-related activities where required
- Communicate service findings and recommendations to customers
- Maintain accurate service records, maintenance reports and repair documentation




- Take before-and-after photos and record service information
- Follow all HCTS safety procedures and applicable regulations
- Work safely at heights and in confined spaces
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs
- Travel to customer sites throughout Southern Ontario
- Perform other duties as required

What We’re Looking For
- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Positive verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Flexible and adaptable to changing field-service priorities

Cooling tower experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right mechanically inclined candidate.
