Anne Mulaire

Winnipeg

Anne Mulaire is a Métis-owned, sustainable fashion brand based in Canada. We create high-quality, ethically made clothing rooted in heritage, thoughtful design, and responsible production.

We’re looking for a data-driven Shopify E-Commerce & CRO Specialist who is passionate about creating exceptional online shopping experiences and knows how to turn customer behaviour into action.

This isn't just a website maintenance role. We want someone who is constantly asking: Where are customers dropping off? What is creating friction? What can we test? What can we improve this week?

Your Mission

Help us grow our e-commerce conversion rate from approximately 1.0% toward 2.0% by continuously analyzing, testing, and improving the Anne Mulaire online shopping experience.

You'll own the ongoing optimization of our Shopify store, using data and customer behaviour to identify opportunities, prioritize high-impact changes, deploy tests quickly, and turn learnings into improvements.

What You'll Do

Conversion Rate Optimization & Testing

- Continuously analyze the customer journey from landing page through product discovery, product page, cart, checkout, and purchase.
- Identify conversion leaks, customer drop-off points, friction, and missed opportunities throughout the funnel.
- Develop hypotheses for why customers aren't converting and turn those hypotheses into actionable tests.
- Build and maintain a CRO testing roadmap, prioritizing opportunities based on expected impact, effort, and available data.
- Launch agile A/B tests and other experiments across homepage, collection pages, product pages, cart, navigation, promotional messaging, landing pages, and other key touchpoints.
- Move quickly on low-risk, high-confidence improvements rather than waiting for large redesigns.
- Track test results and translate findings into permanent site improvements.
- Maintain a record of tests, outcomes, learnings, and next steps so we continuously build institutional knowledge about what drives our customers to purchase.

E-Commerce Analytics & Insights

- Monitor key e-commerce KPIs including conversion rate, add-to-cart rate, cart-to-checkout rate, checkout completion, bounce/engagement rates, average order value, revenue per visitor, and other relevant metrics.
- Analyze performance by device, traffic source, landing page, customer type, product/category, and campaign to uncover meaningful differences in customer behaviour.
- Use Shopify analytics, GA4, heatmaps, session recordings, and other tools to understand what customers are doing, where they're struggling, and why.
- Establish benchmarks across key stages of the funnel and flag meaningful changes or emerging problems.
- Provide concise, actionable reporting focused on what happened, why we believe it happened, and what we should do next, rather than reporting numbers for the sake of reporting.

Website & Customer Experience Optimization

- Optimize homepage, navigation, search, collection pages,

product pages, cart, and other key customer touchpoints.
- Improve product discovery, merchandising, filtering, sorting, and navigation to help customers find the right products faster.
- Optimize PDPs to better communicate fit, sizing, fabric, sustainability, product benefits, social proof, shipping/returns, and other purchase considerations.
- Identify and remove unnecessary friction from the path to purchase.
- Improve mobile shopping experiences, with a strong focus on mobile conversion and usability.
- Review site search behaviour and zero-result searches to identify merchandising, navigation, and content opportunities.
- Recommend and implement opportunities to improve cross-selling, upselling, bundling, and average order value where they enhance rather than disrupt the customer experience.

Campaigns, Merchandising & Landing Pages

- Build and optimize landing pages for campaigns, collections, launches, promotions, events, and paid media.
- Ensure campaign traffic lands on experiences that align closely with the messaging and intent that brought customers to the site.
- Support digital merchandising, including product ordering, featured collections, promotional messaging, and seasonal priorities.
- Partner with marketing to ensure paid, organic, social, and email campaigns connect to high-converting on-site experiences.
- Monitor campaign and launch performance and make real-time adjustments when opportunities or issues emerge.

Shopify Management & Technical Execution

- Make ongoing Shopify theme and content updates without relying on a developer for every small change.
- Handle light custom development using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as needed.
- Support Shopify app integrations and troubleshoot issues that impact the customer experience.
- Monitor site speed and performance and identify apps, scripts, imagery, or functionality negatively affecting performance.
- Conduct regular QA across desktop and mobile to catch broken links, layout issues, merchandising errors, and checkout friction.
- Ensure tracking and analytics are functioning correctly so decisions are based on reliable data.

Lifecycle, SEO & Retention Support

- Collaborate on Klaviyo flows and on-site email capture experiences to improve conversion and retention.
- Apply e-commerce SEO best practices to product, collection, landing, and other commercially important pages.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer capture, repeat purchase, and retention through the on-site experience.

What We're Looking For

- Solid hands-on Shopify experience,

ideally with fashion, apparel, beauty, lifestyle, or another visually driven DTC brand.
- A data-first, analytical mindset and genuine curiosity about customer behaviour.
- Strong understanding of CRO principles, experimentation, funnel analysis, and e-commerce UX.
- Someone who loves testing and is comfortable forming hypotheses, deploying experiments, analyzing results, and iterating quickly.
- Experience with tools such as GA4, Shopify Analytics, heatmaps/session recordings, and A/B testing platforms.
- Ability to move comfortably between strategy, analysis, and hands-on execution.
- Strong understanding of mobile-first e-commerce experiences.
- Strong eye for design, merchandising, flow, and digital storytelling.
- Comfortable making recommendations based on data, even when they challenge existing assumptions.
- Able to independently identify and prioritize opportunities rather than waiting for a list of tasks.
- Comfortable working in an agile environment where small, continuous improvements are valued alongside larger initiatives.

Nice-to-Have

- Shopify Plus experience
- Fashion/apparel e-commerce experience
- Klaviyo experience
- UX auditing and customer journey mapping experience
- Experience with international e-commerce
- Experience optimizing product discovery, search, filters, and merchandising
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices
- Experience improving AOV, retention, or repeat purchase alongside conversion

What Success Looks Like

Success isn't simply completing website updates. We want to see a measurable improvement in how customers move through and experience our store.

Over time, we'd expect to see:

- Increased sitewide conversion rate toward our 2% goal
- Improved product-view-to-add-to-cart performance
- Reduced drop-off between cart and checkout
- Improved mobile conversion
- Stronger performance from key landing and product pages
- A consistent pipeline of CRO tests and site improvements
- Clear documentation of what we've tested and learned about our customers
- Faster identification and resolution of customer experience issues

To Apply

Send us

- A short introduction and overview of your Shopify/CRO experience
- A portfolio or links to Shopify stores you've helped improve, with fashion or lifestyle examples especially welcome
- 1–2 examples of a conversion problem you identified, what the data told you, what you changed or tested, and the result
- A few initial observations about how you would approach improving the Anne Mulaire customer journey

We're especially interested in people who can demonstrate measurable improvements, not just beautiful websites.

Anne Mulaire is an equal opportunity employer. We strive to make employment decisions based on merit, skills, and qualifications. We are committed to creating an equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace where all team members feel valued, included, and respected.
