In this energetic role, you will be responsible for sharpening, repairing, and maintaining skate blades to ensure optimal performance and safety for skaters of all levels. Your expertise will help athletes glide smoothly on the ice or roller rink, providing them with confidence and precision.

Duties
- Carefully inspect each skate blade to assess its condition and determine the appropriate sharpening technique
- Use specialized sharpening equipment to precisely grind blades, restoring their sharpness and shape according to manufacturer specifications
- Repair or replace damaged blades, ensuring they meet safety standards and performance expectations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sharpening station, ensuring all tools are properly calibrated and stored
- Provide guidance to customers on proper skate care and maintenance practices
- Collaborate with staff to manage workflow efficiently during busy periods,
ensuring timely service for all customersSkills
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for precision in sharpening and repair work
- Basic knowledge of skate blade construction, materials, and common issues
- Ability to learn -to operate sharpening machines and hand tools safely and effectively , some hockey knowledge -and custumer relations is a plus.
- Excellent manual dexterity and steady hand-eye coordination
- Good communication skills to explain procedures and maintenance tips clearly
- Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry best practices
- Prior experience in sports equipment maintenance or technical trades is a plus but not required
