Job Title: Soft Content Restoration Manager

Job Summary The Soft Content Restoration Manager oversees the restoration of soft contents damaged by water, fire, mold, smoke, or other disasters. This role is responsible for managing restoration projects, leading restoration technicians, ensuring quality control, maintaining inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the restoration process.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage all aspects of soft content restoration projects from intake to final delivery.
- Supervise and train restoration technicians on industry best practices and company procedures.
- Develop project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Inspect damaged textiles, clothing, upholstery, draperies, linens, electronics, and household contents to determine appropriate restoration methods.
- Coordinate cleaning, deodorization, sanitization, and pack-out/pack-back operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using restoration management software.
- Ensure proper documentation of damaged and restored contents for insurance claims.
- Communicate regularly with customers, insurance adjusters, contractors, and project managers regarding project status.
- Monitor quality control throughout the restoration process to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage department budgets, equipment maintenance, and supply inventory.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally.

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, operations, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in contents restoration, disaster restoration, or a related industry.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.




- Strong knowledge of restoration techniques for textiles and household contents.
- Experience working with insurance restoration projects is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and restoration management software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Certifications

- IICRC Contents Processing Technician (CPT)
- IICRC Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
- IICRC Odor Control Technician (OCT)
- IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
- OSHA Health and Safety Training (or applicable local workplace safety certification)

Work Environment

- Combination of office, warehouse, and customer-site work.
- Occasional evening, weekend, or emergency on-call work may be required.
- Exposure to water-damaged, fire-damaged, smoke-damaged, or mold-affected environments.
