We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. This role involves engaging with customers, solving complex problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Practical experience in 2 coding languages or advanced practice in 1 language
- 6 years in IT; 4 years in development
- Solid understanding of full-stack development, including both front-end and back-end development
- Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry,
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java
- Familiarity with test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Experience with agile methodologies
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their use-cases and requirements
- Design, develop, and deliver software using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
- Create high-level software architecture designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, and architects
- Define and implement software test strategy and guidelines
- Continuously improve performance and optimize applications
- Support security practices to safeguard user data
- Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces
- Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies
