Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation for our products, services, and internal processes. Your work will support end-users, developers, and internal teams by translating complex technical information into easy-to-understand materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, installation guides, online help, and release notes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, product managers, and support staff to gather information and understand documentation requirements.
- Develop content for various audiences, including end-users, system administrators, and developers.
- Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all documentation.
- Organize and manage documentation repositories and version control.
- Edit and review documents for grammar, clarity, and technical accuracy.
- Create visual aids such as diagrams, screenshots,
and infographics to complement written content.
- Stay current with product updates, industry trends, and recent technologies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) as a technical writer or similar role.
- Robust understanding of technical concepts and the ability to explain them clearly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Markdown, Confluence, or similar.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and content management systems.
Preferred:
- Experience with tools like MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or RoboHelp.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
- Experience writing for APIs, SDKs, or developer platforms.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or scripting languages.
