- 4+ years of hands-on automation testing experience in at least two of these areas - UI, API/Services, Data Pipelines, SDK, Performance.
Experience developing test scripts and test automation for complex distributed systems
- Understanding of networking and internet protocols such as DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and TCP/IP
- Have experience with at least one of the following: Perl, Python, C/C++, or Shell scripting
- Valuable working knowledge of Unix or Linux Operating systems
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like TestNG and selenium
Role Expectations
- Participate in complex issues triaging and look for ways to make root cause identification easier with implementation of tools/processes.
- Develop tools and dashboards to increase SW development productivity
- Investigate and recommend best practices for maintaining code quality, including development of code metrics, code review workflows, code coverage measurement and the use of static and dynamic analysis tools.
- Positive understanding of the integration between automated software test and the build process.
- Dedication to deeply learning product functionality and use cases.
- Familiarity with owning and maintaining test/staging environments..
- Broad width and in-depth knowledge of QA automation tools, processes and tech stack.
- Willingness to go beyond finding bugs, to diagnosing why problems occur.
- Sets the standard and recommends best practices around testing.
- High degree of curiosity and customer empathy.
