We are looking for a reliable and motivated Tire & Auto Parts Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience with tires and automotive parts, is comfortable using computers, and has strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with tire and auto parts inquiries
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Provide product information and prepare quotes
- Post and update product listings on Facebook Marketplace
- Respond to Marketplace messages and follow up with customers
- Coordinate customer pickups and prepare orders for pickup
- Pick up orders from suppliers when required
- Check inventory and coordinate orders with suppliers
- Use computer systems to look up products, pricing, and availability
- Prepare invoices and process orders
- Communicate with customers and suppliers by phone, email, and in person
- Help with general store and warehouse duties
- Keep inventory and work areas organized
Requirements
- Previous experience with tires and automotive parts
- Knowledge of tire sizes, types,
and applications
- Good computer skills and ability to learn new software
- Experience using Facebook Marketplace is an asset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable answering phone calls and dealing with customer inquiries
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently
- Ability to multitask in a busy setting
- Class 5 driver's licence is an asset
Experience
- Tire/Auto Parts: 1 year preferred
- Customer service or sales experience: preferred
- Facebook Marketplace experience: an asset
Compensation
- Starting at $20.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience
