Merivale Medical Imaging is urgently hiring a Technologist Assistant to join our diagnostic imaging team in Ottawa.
Key responsibilities
- Assist MRI and CT technologists with daily clinical operations
- Prepare patients for imaging examinations
- Assist with patient screening, positioning and transfers
- Perform IV insertions after completing the required IV certification and training
- Clean and prepare examination rooms
- Maintain supplies and support efficient patient flow
- Follow all infection-control and patient-safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or diagnostic imaging setting is preferred
- Must be willing to obtain IV insertion certification
- Previous IV insertion experience is an asset
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable assisting and interacting with patients
- Able to work effectively in a busy clinical environment
- CPR/BLS certification is an asset
