Company Overview:
Woodfield Canada is a family run business in the automotive industry that focuses on commercial vehicle accessories & work vehicle modifications. We are continually growing and are currently looking to add an adaptable Vehicle Cleaning & Finaly Inspection Technician.
Position Summary:
The Vehicle Cleaning & Final Inspection Technician is the final checkpoint before a completed upfit is released to the customer. This role is responsible for cleaning vehicles once production and installation work is finished, removing all tools, hardware, and debris, performing a visual quality check of the installed equipment, documenting the vehicle's condition with photos, and staging the vehicle in the customer-ready area. This position plays a direct role in Woodfield's brand promise of “Complete Control from Design to Delivery” by ensuring every vehicle leaves the shop clean, safe, and correctly finished.
Key responsibilities:
- Remove all shop tools, fasteners, packaging, and installation debris from the vehicle interior, cargo area, and undercarriage/exterior areas once production is complete.
- Thoroughly inspect for and remove metal shavings and other foreign object debris (FOD) that could pose a safety hazard or damage equipment.
- Vacuum, wipe down, and clean interior surfaces, cargo area, and cab; clean exterior surfaces as needed to remove shop dust, fingerprints, or adhesive residue from installation work.
- Visually inspect installed equipment (shelving, drawers, partitions, ladder racks, flooring, panels, lighting, and custom equipment) for fit, finish, and completeness.
- Take standardized photos of the interior, cargo area, and completed installation for QC and vehicle control records.
- Flag issues to the Production Supervisor when noticed, including sharp edges, vehicle damage,
or other quality concerns — the Technician documents and escalates, and does not clear the vehicle for release unresolved.
- Complete the QC checklist and sign-off in line with Woodfield's vehicle release process.
- Park and stage the completed vehicle in the designated “ready for customer” area.
- Update vehicle status in the tracking system upon completion of QC and staging (if applicable).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including proper handling and disposal of shop waste and debris.
- Follow all Woodfield health and safety procedures at all times.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

- Prior experience in an automotive, manufacturing, or shop workplace is an asset; will train the right candidate.
- Basic photography skills for consistent, clear documentation (training provided on Woodfield's photo standard).
