Full-Time Maternity Coverage for Veterinary Assistant
Pawsitive Veterinary Care is looking for an energetic worker with a passion for animals to assist in day-to-day practice flow.
Maternity coverage starting immediately, contract ending August-December 2027. Hours are 9am to 5pm Monday/Tuesday/Friday, and 9am to 6pm on Wednesday/Thursday. Benefits after 3 month probationary period; 2 weeks paid vacation, sick days, learning opportunities, scrub allowance.
Details
The ideal candidate has animal experience, interpersonal skills, strong work ethic, computer skills, and customer service. The role includes the following duties:
- animal restraint and husbandry
- assisting veterinarians, technicians, and clients
- cleaning and sterilization procedures
- laboratory sample handling
- anesthesia and surgical assistance
- customer service: phone calls, client education
Must be confident in animal handling for both cats and dogs.

$18.25 - $22 an hourWage varies on expierience.
