As part of our continued growth and success in the Southwestern Ontario municipal water market, AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Process Engineering Graduate for a newly created position to be based in Kitchener, Ontario .

This role will work collaboratively with the Project Team on a variety of drinking water and wastewater projects, including treatment, pumping, storage, and related infrastructure through all project stages (planning and feasibility, design, construction, start-up and commissioning, and close-out). Perform assignments requiring the application of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to support water and wastewater treatment projects. Undertake preliminary and detailed engineering design activities for water and wastewater infrastructure under the supervision of an experienced engineer (e.g., Create designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings,



and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

Assist with equipment selection and and coordination with suppliers and vendors, including technical reviews and comparison of alternatives. Prepare technical specifications, special provisions, and forms of tender. Collect, validate and analyze technical data (e.g., flow, loading, water quality) and assist with interpreting results to inform design.

Use engineering software and tools to solve basic engineering problems (e.g., spreadsheets, CAD/model review, and entry-level process/hydraulic modeling). Apply quality and safety procedures, participate in QA/QC reviews, and elevate complex issues or deviations for guidance. Prepare concise technical memos and reports to support project deliverables.

Assist with constructions services during the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure and facilities (e.g., submittal reviews, RFIs, shop drawings) and site inspections. Actively engage in professional development, training, and knowledge-sharing; Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineeringor other related field. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits, as needed.

Co-op/internship or project experience supporting water or wastewater treatment processes. Demonstrated ability to analyze technical data and prepare clear written reports. Relocation is not available for this position.
